My name is Tess Hall and I just love animals.

It started with my first Saturday job, whilst still at school, which was in a pet shop where I realised that I was keen to work with animals, and carried on from there. Since then, over a period of more than 30 years, I have always had at least one pet, ranging from the usual cat or dog through to a barn owl, hamster, tropical fish and a snake. At times there have been as many as five various animals in the family home and therefore I have wide experience in animal handling and care which has come in handy when looking after pets belonging to friends in the past when the owners have been at work.

I have a healthy respect for unfamiliar animals, but soon develop an affinity with them. However I can, and do, maintain an assertive relationship with any animals in my care.

I also have excellent organisational and communications skills which are necessary requirements when caring for animals.

I am fully insured and all the staff at Animals at Home are CRB checked, complete a training course at a veterinary surgery and come equipped with a purpose built ambulance that is licensed by DEFRA.
